The IPS Martial Arts school is a very different Self Defense training center, compared to all others. We are NOT Traditional, nor Sport Based. We are Reality Urban Self Defense and Survival system designed to offer maximum personal security. We accept ONLY SERIOUS STUDENTS looking for a challenge and a positive change in Lifestyle, Health and Fitness. Our self defense concepts and methods are geared towards RESPONSIBLE ADULTS, Law Enforcement, and Military.\u00a0 Everyone can benefit from our training system!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We also offer traditional, High Impact Cardio Fitness programs for ALL AGES and Fitness levels.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Is There Really Any Difference Between \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIPS Martial Arts and other schools?<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Yes. First of all, different \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tschools teach different martial arts. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThere are many different kinds of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmartial arts in the world. The three \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmost commonly known are Kung Fu \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(Chinese), Karate (Japanese) and Taekwon-Do \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(Korean). Kyoshi Giles has studied styles from all three major systems and has blended them into a practical and lethal urban combat system.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly, and probably most \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\timportantly, one must consider the way \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe art is taught and the qualifications \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the instructors. To form an analogy \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tto music, one must choose both the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tinstrument, for example piano or violin, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tas well as the quality of the school and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe background of the teacher. Studying under Kyoshi Giles, or any of his top students, you are guaranteed to receive the highest quality of instruction from dedicated practitioners in Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Jujitsu, Judo and Krav Maga. Every IPS instructor has a minimum of 20 years or more studying within the martial arts.<\/p>\n

How Does One Evaluate the Quality of a \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSchool?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Just as with academic schools, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe quality of a martial arts school \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tdepends on the curriculum, the quality \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tand experience of the teacher and the \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstandards set for achievement. The quality of a school is \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\treflected in the students it produces. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBecause of economic pressure, many \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmartial arts schools grant belt \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpromotions to students simply because \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthey pay their fees and occasionally \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tattend class. A school which is serious \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tabout teaching a martial art, such as is the case within the IPS system, will only promote students based on \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttheir effort, achievement toward their \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tpotential, and when they are worthy of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe new rank.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Some schools emphasize \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcompetitions, and their students train \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tprimarily to prepare for tournaments. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFor many people, this is exciting and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttheir goal is to become a champion. But \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe IPS system of martial arts was never \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tintended to be a sport with winners and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tlosers, but rather a path towards each \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tstudent’s own self-realization. While\u00a0 students within the IPS Martial Arts System do \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\toccasionally have in-school and \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tintra-federation tournaments, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ttraining to win competitions is not \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\temphasized. Instead, the development of \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tcourtesy, integrity, perseverance, \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tself-control, and the ability to defend yourself in a real street attack is our goal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
